Cuffley Rugby Club is different...

A small group formed in the Plough Pub in Cuffley in 1973, still used by many of the current players.

We have remained a grassroots club punching above our weight with no large club hierarchy or politics; you basically get out what you put in.

We play in Herts / Middx Leagues and enter national and Herts County Cup competitions offering competitive matches throughout the season, mixed in with a sprinkling of friendlies. We also tour from time to time both overseas and in the UK.

Playing on school pitches and socialising in the local pub have long given way to top class facilities at Rosedale Sports Club in Cheshunt for matches and flood lit training, with members coming from a 30 minute radius, such as Potters Bar, Hertford, Broxbourne, Hoddesdon and beyond.

We are always welcoming new players, helpers and supporters from the area - Hertfordshire and North London - and if you are interested in playing, refereeing or coaching please contact Gary Harris 07976 753699 or Andrew Smith 07528 578207.

You will find us more flexible and cheaper than most clubs but still competitive and friendly so come and give us a try!

Bill was a founder member of Cuffley Rugby Club and played a big part in getting the club established in the early years. Without members like Bill we would not have a club today. Bill played in the front row and also at wing forward. The boys that played with Bill will always remember his ON ME CUFFLEY call. He also supported quite a few of our recent functions; he will be sadly missed by all his friends and old team mates. We would like to send our condolences to Christine and Bill's family. I am planning to hold a minutes silence before this Saturday’s game OCT 27TH at home at ROSEDALE at 3pm. Please come along to the game or just to the club and have a beer in Bill's memory.
